Iran has fired 400 missiles, 1,000 drones at Israel, military official says

Iran has launched around 400 ballistic missiles and 1,000 drones at Israel since the conflict began on Friday, an Israeli military official told CNN.

Approximately 20 of those missiles struck civilian areas, added the official.

At least 24 people in Israel have been killed since the start of the Israeli military operation, according to the report.

Iran’s air defense system is currently “intercepting hostile targets” over Tehran, the semi-official Mehr News Agency said Wednesday.

Shortly after, Iran’s state-run IRIB network published an evacuation warning in Hebrew for residents of the Israeli city of Haifa.

The warning, shared as a graphic, marked an unspecified area as a “high-risk zone” and urged people to leave immediately.

“Your presence in this area endangers your lives,” it read. The message comes amid ongoing missile exchanges between Iran and Israel.

Cleric threatens US cities will be hit if Khamenei is targeted

If the United States targets Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Iran would strike back at American cities, Mojtaba Ranjbar, a member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts said Wednesday.

“If America makes a mistake, what happened to Tel Aviv and Haifa will happen to Washington and New York,” he said.

The warning came after President Donald Trump suggested he might target Khamenei.

Iran imposed temporary restrictions on internet access, Communications Ministry said Wednesday, according to state media.

"Due to the aggressor enemy’s misuse of the country’s communication network for military purposes and threats to people's lives and property, access restrictions to the internet have been temporarily imposed on users by decision of the relevant authorities," the ministry said in a statement.

The announcement follows widespread reports of connectivity disruptions across the country.
