"The Islamic Republic had evacuated the three nuclear sites some time ago," Iran's state TV reported after the US announced airstrikes on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities.
In its first reaction to the US president's announcement of attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, Iran's state TV said, "Trump usually bluffs. The extent of the damage needs to be assessed. The Islamic Republic's nuclear industry cannot be destroyed by bombing."
American forces bombed Fordow and Natanz at around 2:30 a.m. in Iran, The New York Times reported citing three senior Iranian officials.
A US official was also quoted as saying that several B-2 bombers were used in the attack.
