In its first reaction to the US president's announcement of attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, Iran's state TV said, "Trump usually bluffs. The extent of the damage needs to be assessed. The Islamic Republic's nuclear industry cannot be destroyed by bombing."
American forces bombed Fordow and Natanz at around 2:30 a.m. in Iran, The New York Times reported citing three senior Iranian officials.
A US official was also quoted as saying that several B-2 bombers were used in the attack.
"This is an historic moment for the United States of America, Israel, and the world. Iran must now agree to end this war," US President Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
